Folks, we’re in the midst of yet another blazing hot summer. From the scorching days to the sizzling nights, this is the best time of year to enjoy some R&R. That’s right: I’m talking about a much-needed retreat. Whether you plan on hitting up the sandy beaches or the hot nightlife, you’ve got to vacation with style! And what better way to get started than by checking out some of the hottest jewelry at OverStockJeweler.com. Our vast selections of beautiful trinkets are guaranteed to keep you cool in the sweltering heat. So, take a cue from these hot celebs on how to turn heads on your great escape!

Bold and beautiful Beyonce brought her brand of bling to St. Tropez last month. Taking in a little rest and relaxation before kicking off her much-anticipated tour, she hit the beach in a pair of alluring earrings. If you want to bring sexy to the shore this summer, may we suggest a similarly sassy pair of dangling earrings:

Juicy Couture Style Sterling Silver and Gold Vermeil Diamond CZ Circle Drop Earrings for $129.99

Then again, if you prefer to do some low-key unwinding, tempting turquoise is the best way to go. Reality-TV star Brooke Hogan made a huge splash in Maui last weekend in a stunning sea-green bikini. While she looked fantastic, all eyes were on her matching ring. Want to stop traffic without trying too hard? Have we got an eye-catching genuine turquoise ring for you!

Designer-Inspired Sterling Silver Vintage Turquoise Ring for $49.99

What’s a girl to do after she’s just broken out of the pokey? Why, hightail it to Maui and iron out those prison kinks like Paris Hilton did last week. The celebutante celebrated her freedom by soaking up the sun on the beach. Rocking an edgy mesh ring to complement her provocative one-piece swimsuit, she showed the world that she is, indeed, back. Our version of that trendy band is a great symbol of a triumphant comeback:

Tiffany Style Sterling Silver Heavy Mesh Ring for $29.99

Young Hollywood’s princess, Lindsay Lohan, completed a month-long stretch in rehab a few weeks ago. Originally set to kick off her 21st birthday on July 2nd with a ginormous bash in Vegas, she opted to celebrate her big day under the radar. A far cry from her disastrous Memorial Day meltdown, Li-Lo spent her Fourth of July in Malibu with her loving family. Wearing an understated key necklace, she looked fashionably well-rested and ready to get back into the game. If you’ve survived through some rough times and are equally prepared to face the world, we carry a similar badge of honor in our dazzling key pendant:

Tiffany Inspired Pave Diamond CZ Key Pendant for $29.99

Tennis titan Serena Williams hit the glamorous shores of Ibiza with the right amount of diva-tude a few weeks ago. Fitting in some me-time before heading out to watch her sister, Venus, rock Wimbledon the following Saturday, she made the scene in a bold bikini and an even bolder star ring. If your taste in vacation style veers towards the audaciously avant-garde, then you’ll definitely fall in love with our onyx starfish ring!

OverStockJeweler’s Favorite Hollywood Image Make-Over!!

With a flux of amazing image make-over shows like How Do I Look?, Look For Less, and Style Her Famous, dressing like a diva is getting easier and easier these days! These shows have so many wonderful tips and inside looks at how to change your normal everyday style to a vamped up, put together look! With everything from tips on hair, make-up, wardrobe and jewelry, you are one step closer to getting the look that kills! If you’re ever in the New York area, we highly recommend New York Image Consultant. They are the biggest image consulting firms in NYC and they are actually affordable!

One of the best tips we hear all the time from shows and from websites like NewYorkImageConsultant.com is one of the best things to add to your everyday fashion is bold and trendy jewelry. With just a simple addition to an outfit, such as a power watch to your business outfit, or wearing a simple pair of diamond stud earrings, the transformation can be very dramatic. The options are limitless with jewelry!

One of or favorite Hollywood make-over’s is Nicole Richie. Despite all of the drama she and all of the young leading ladies of Hollywood have been going through lately, through it all you must hand it to them; they eat, breath and sleep style! When Nicole Richie broke out onto the scene with “The Simple Life: Season One” she and her pal Paris had a love affair with all things neon. What were they thinking? Paris obviously mainly wore bright pink and pastels, while Nicole wore bright neon colors, all very tight and very revealing.

Once “The Simple Life” became a hit show, Nicole was making more and more public appearances and she got herself a stylist. Rachel Zoe to be exact: one the biggest fashion stylists in Hollywood. Nicole’s whole looked transformed. She started wearing clothes that covered a bit more skin, the colors weren’t so tacky, and she really rose to the top of best dressed list in a very short amount of time.

One constant threw line with Nicole and her major Hollywood make-over is that she is constantly on top of the hottest new jewelry trends. She is most definitely one of our favorite starlet inspirations. She has inspired more looks than most young ladies on our site. She knows how to accent her looks with a simple cocktail ring, or a fierce trendy charm necklace and her wrists are constantly adorned with the hottest bangles and bracelets. She also knows when to add the diamond sparkles as well. She really has come to a point where she is one of the go-to-girls for celebrity inspired looks.

We love her here at OverStockJeweler.com! We have Ms. Nicole Richie as best Hollywood Make-Over ever!!

Here she is Pre- Simple Life:

Tying the Knot: Tinseltown Style

What’s up, guys!? As some of Hollywood’s hotshots are blissfully getting engaged, other celebrities have taken the plunge by tying the knot this year. Though classic weddings are a timeless staple in Tinseltown, it seems that today’s A-Listers are reworking the image of Hollywood wedding glamour. Whether they reflect a fabulously free spirit or cultural significance, celebrity wedding style has become very diverse. What’s better, we at OverStockJeweler.com can provide that same individuality while reflecting the allure of Hollywood with our tremendous selection of celebrity-inspired wedding rings. You’ll definitely make a lasting impression with our pieces while refreshingly staying true to yourself.

Soul songstress, Amy Winehouse, recently made a splash by eloping with her longtime on-and-off-again boyfriend, Blake Fielder-Civil, in Miami last month. While her whirlwind schedule prevented her from picking out a wedding ring, she nevertheless wore a simple ring in honor of her beloved at the MTV Movie Awards a few weeks ago. If you’re wooed by a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants declaration of love, we suggest a similar token of simplicity:

Tiffany Inspired Sterling Silver Wave Solitaire Promise Ring for $29.99

However, if a royal affair is more suitable to your taste, then we definitely have a lavish and opulent piece to reflect that superstar quality. Similar to the wedding ring that model and actress, Elizabeth Hurley, recently flaunted at the Cannes Chopard and Valentino party, this is a piece that is undeniably befitting to the kind of girl who is a grand showstopper:

Inspired by Designer Sterling Silver Solitaire Engagement Wedding Ring Set w/ CZ Chips for $49.99

If you’re interested in a ring that reflects your culture while showcasing the enchantment of a blushing bride, we carry a wedding ring that unites the two without sacrificing one or the other. The Queen of Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai, perfectly applied that concept when wearing her ring at her post-wedding appearance at Cannes’ My Blueberry Nights’ party a few months ago:

Tiffany Inspired Diamond CZ Engagement Wedding Ring Set for $49.99

Hollywood starlet, Brittany Murphy, recently tied the knot with British screenwriter/ director and rumored con man, Simon Monjack, as seen with her at the Rock and Republic City of Hope Event a few weeks ago. Despite the knowledge of his checkered past, Brittany has chosen to revel in marital bliss with her bad boy. If you’re a girl that loves a bit of danger with your romance, we’ve got the perfect ring that breaks all the rules of convention:

Inspired by Designer Double Cable Oval CZ Vintage Cocktail Ring in Champagne for $49.99

Then again, if drama isn’t your middle name and you want to enjoy the simple bliss of married life, we’ve got a ring that showcases a similarly subdued beauty. Reminiscent in newlywed Keri Russell’s red-carpet appearance at the ‘Waitress’ premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, this piece will reflect that relaxed elegance:

Inspired by Designer Gold Vermeil Sterling Silver Screw Motif Love Ring for $39.99

This is definitely the season for wonderful wedded bliss and OverstockJeweler.com has the best selection of rings for every kind of bride. No longer limited to the standard wedding rings of yesteryear, our celebrity-inspired pieces are fresh and inventive so that you can leave a lasting impression on your special day. In shopping with us, we guarantee that our jewelry will provide that matrimonial magic.

Tiffany Style Classic Solitaire 3.5 ct. Diamond CZ Engagement Ring for $34.99

Hollywood knockout, Eva Longoria, showed off her bride-to-be bling on TRL this past February. Top of the Mornin’ to ya! We’ve got an Irish sale goin’ on!

Saint Patrick’s Day is coming up soon but our Clover & Horseshoe Collection has been very popular on our site for quite some time now. Many of our clover and horseshoe items appear on our Top Best Sellers Page all of the time. Lucky clovers and lucky horseshoes are on high demand already this month and we’re sure the demand will get even higher as St. Patty’s Day gets closer. In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day we are giving you 15% off ALL of our Clover & Horseshoe Collection!! This sale is so big you’ll want us to pinch your cheeks! Just for one week only though! The sale is starting on March 13th and ends at Midnight on March 18th so you better hurry and act fast!

Clovers have been a symbol of good luck for ages. In Irish tradition the first leaf represents faith, the second is for hope, the third is for love and the fourth is for LUCK! Some traditions believe that wearing a clover to bed will bring dreams of a future husband. (Sounds good to me!) A new modern myth is that spiritualists have claimed that the four leaf clover releases energy that will help guide a person through life.

Horseshoes have been a lucky symbol for over a thousand years too. There are a few different stories but my favorite is the myth that horshoes were hung above doorways to ward off fairies. Apparently it was thought that iron was the only way to keep fairies out of your house. Horseshoes were readily available to quickly hang up above doorways.

Celebrities in Hollywood have been wearing clover jewelry designed by Tiffany’s, Fred Leighton, Roberto Coin, and other designers for quite some time now. I’d like to think they wear them as a reminder of how lucky they already are. Whatever the reason, clovers and horseshoes are so hot right now. They’re a great trend and we are sure that they will never go out of style.

Here are some of our favorite stars wearing one of the hottest trends in Hollywood:
Paris Hilton is shown here wearing a Black Onyx Clover Necklace.

Our Inspired by Designer Four Leaf Clover Necklace in Mother of Pearl or Black Onyx
Here are matching earrings shown in Mother of Pearl, also available in black onyx:

Inspired by Designer Four Leaf Clover Earrings
Matching bracelet, shown in black, like what Paris Hilton is wearing!

Inspired by Designer Clover Onyx Bracelet
The clover has always been popular but Heidi Klum made it fashionable again. Here she is wearing two of her own designs. Check out our inspired necklace like the pendant Heidi is wearing here:

Inspired by Designer Pave Diamond Cz Four Leaf Clover Pendant with Black Silk Cord

Here is the unbelievably sexy actor and oh so very Irish, Colin Farrell wearing a four leaf clover for a photo shoot. This particular necklace isn’t great for men, but it’s perfect for women!

Roberto Coin & other designer inspired diamond CZ four leaf clover pendant

If you want to find something for men with a lucky clover twist, this ring is one of hottest selling items right now for men. Check it out!

Men’s Inspired by Designer Stainless Steel Four Leaf Clover Band Ring
Sarah Jessica Parker was a huge figure in the fashion world, some times even more than fashion magazines themselves. Every week ladies all over the world tuned in to see what Carrie is doing, where she is going and most importantly, what she is wearing! She made the horseshoes a hot, hot must have! Now you can get lucky with this gorgeous horseshoe necklace! I just love it!

Tiffany Inspired Diamond CZ Horseshoe Pendant Necklace

Well, those were some of our favorite clover and horseshoe items. But don’t forget, we have a whole Clover & Horseshoe Collection for you to check out! 15% ALL of these items!! SO hurry up! When you are checking out, use the coupon code LUCKY. Offer ends at Midnight, March 30th.

Overstockjeweler.com Golden Globe picks!

We’ve all been updated on the nominee’s but we haven’t discussed who we think is going to win! Here are our top picks of our favorite categories!!!

Let’s start with TV land first. . .

Best Dramatic TV series:

-I predict and HOPE “Heroes” wins for best TV show because it IS the BEST TV show. I am SO addicted to “Heroes”, I love it! I really hope it wins! No other TV show compares to it, it’s the best TV show I have ever seen!

Best Actor in a Dramatic Series:

-Michael C. Hall. I love “Dexter” the TV show and I love “Dexter” the books. Michael’s character Dexter is the polar opposite of his character on “Six Feet Under”. He is such a great actor and not too bad to look at either! The show is a newbie, so I’m not sure if he’ll win. But if he does, more people will actually watch the show!

Best Actress in a Comedy:

-Three way tie. I can’t choose. I love both Felicity Huffman and Mary-Louise Parker. But Felicity won an Emmy last year & Mary-Louise won this Golden Globe last year! When it comes to full on comedic acting, I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus fits the bill. She already won the Emmy this year; I think she has finally broken the “Seinfeld curse”.

Best Actor in a Comedy:

-I hope this year is Zach Braff’s year. This is his third time being nominated, having never won before. He lost to fellow nominee Steve Carell in “The Office” last year and to Tony Shalhoub in “Monk” the year before. Shalhoub has already won three Emmy’s and one Golden Globe for Best Actor. This just might be “Scrubs” last season and I think Zach deserves to go out with a bang!

Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Movie:

-MASI OKA!!! He plays Hiro on “Heroes”! I think his character is a pivotal part of the show. He lightens up the mood of the entire show. Not only does he speak in both English and Japanese on “Heroes,” he does his own translations!! You would think NBC can afford a translator!

OVERSTOCKJEWELER.COM’S FILM PICKS:

Best Dramatic Film:

-I want “Babel” to win best film but I’m not convinced it’s going to win. I have a feeling “Bobby” might win, just because it’s loaded with stars. It was a great film, but if anything, “Babel” will win the Oscar. It’s an instant classic film.

Best Actress in a Drama:

-Helen Mirren for “The Queen”. This is her year, she is finally getting the recognition she deserves. I first fell in love with her in “The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover” & then again in “The Madness of King George”. There is no question she isn’t going to win for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth the II.

Best Actor in a Drama:

-Forest Whitaker. His performance was unbelievable in this movie. He completely transformed himself into a completely different person for this role and that is what it takes to have a powerful performance. Not only did he have a very realistic accent in the film, he learned Swahili! He deserves this award, hands down.

Best Musical or Comedy Film: “Borat” was the funniest film by far but there is no way it’s taking home a Golden Globe! I want “The Devil Wears Prada” to win, but I’m pretty sure “Dreamgirls” is going to take this one home. Coin toss on this one.

Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy:

-Meryl Streep for the “Devil Wears Prada”. No need to justify this one ;)

Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy:

-Will Ferrell for “Stranger Than Fiction”! I just loved him in this film. He is a comic genius and the simple fact that he was even nominated is a confirmation that he is a very influential talent in the industry. He definitely deserves this award!

Best Supporting Actress in a Film:

-Though I loved Jennifer Hudson’s performance Rinko Kikuchi in “Babel” was amazing. Some of her scenes were some of my favorite parts of the movie, and her performance made it so. Though, I’m pretty sure, after all of the controversy, Jennifer Hudson is going to win. I just can’t wait till the ceremony airs!

Best Supporting Actor in a Film:

-Our pick is Brad Pitt for his performance in “Babel” But we’re just not sure if he is actually going to take it home. His only real competition is Eddie Murphy for “Dreamgirls” and Ben Affleck in “Hollywoodland” Jack Nicholson & Mark Wahlberg did not have award worthy performances in “The Departed”. But the politics rule this award show…

Best Screenplay: “The Queen”. This script tells the dark story behind England’s Royal Family and all of the controversy behind how they reacted to the passing of Princess Diana. It’s a very intriguing movie and it’s all factual. I loved this movie. It’s already won awards for best screenplay all around the world, can’t imagine why it would stop here.

Best Foreign Language Film:

-“Volver” from Spain. Pedro Almodovar is one of my favorite directors ever. This film brought him into the mainstream, as much as I have ever seen. I loved this film, and Penelope Cruz’s performance was astonishing. I’m very proud of both of them.

Now, onto the other gossip that we haven’t gotten to yet…. It seems as if there was the same amount of drama behind the camera as there was on-camera during the making of the film “Babel”. The screenwriter, Guillermo Arriaga, and director, Alejandro Gonzalez, have severed both their professional and personal relationship since wrapping the film. Both have worked on several films together, and the screenwriter is expressing that both men have had an equal amount of influence on every film they’ve collaborated on. It seems as if the director is trying to take all of the credit for all of their films. He even went as far as banning the screenwriter from attending their premiere at the Cannes film festival. Now, I believe the screenwriter is just as important as the director, IF the writer was involved through out the process, and in this case, both seem to have been equal partners. I can’t wait to see how the men behave at the ceremony next week! (Source: Wikipedia>

There is one more thing I’d like to bring up regarding the nominations for the 2007 Golden Globes. “The Departed” starring Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mark Whalberg, has been nominated for many awards this year. But Matt Damon was the only man out of those four A-listers, who did not receive a nod this year and that is laughable. Matt Damon MADE this film! His character was the driving force of the film, and was actually incredibly impressive to boot. I think that it’s ridiculous that Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for “The Departed” AND “Blood Diamond”! He was great in “Blood Diamond,” but he shouldn’t have received the nomination over Matt’s performance in “The Departed”. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how everything unfolds next week!

In the mean time check out these beautiful stars from various 2006 ceremonies and premieres.

Helen Mirren at “The Queen” premiere:
