Angelina Jolie Stuns the World with Double Mastectomy News
Angelina Jolie surprised everyone today with her article in the The New York Times op-ed section “My Medical Choice”. She revealed that she secretly (out of the public eye) underwent a preventative double mastectomy after doctors estimated that she had an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer. “Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy,” she wrote.
Breast cancer affects many women and families in the United States. The National Cancer Institute reports about 1 in 8 American women will develop it in their lifetime. Jolie in her article says “I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience.” This serious disease can only be overcome with research, knowledge and preventative care.

Since 1992 MTV has been hosting the annual MTV Movie Awards. Many lesser known actors get a chance to receive recognition which means we get to see new, up-and-coming star’s style on the red carpet. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite jewelry looks from the show and offer options so you can get the look for less.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley – One of the princesses of MTV, this New Jersey babe is known by all for her role on MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and now has her own spinoff with gal pal Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Formerly known for her wild and trashy outfits, JWoww had since classed up and gone for a more Hollywood look. Her tennis necklace was the perfect match for her long, silver gown.

Kylie Minogue – The Aussie singer showed up at the awards show to promote her soon to be finished first album with RocNation. Her futuristic medieval dress was such a standout that it needed only to be accented with simple solitaire stud earrings.
